The Geometry of Equality
The primary objective of this piece is to reclaim the original purpose of International Women’s Day, moving away from superficial greetings and complacent branding that often dilutes the significance of the date. We sought to transform the celebration into a visual statement of principles, focusing on the historical struggle for labor equality and the closing of social gaps. The execution is grounded in an extreme synthesis that combines the elegance of high-end cosmetics with the stark reality of a pending social demand. We utilized a language of color and abstract symbolism to elevate the message, employing a saturated purple tone that pays homage to the suffragette movement and justice. The central element, a lipstick positioned horizontally, ceases to be a beauty object to become the upper component of an equals sign. This piece of visual engineering ensures that a daily icon of femininity acquires a mathematical weight of equity, stripping away any narrative noise.
