Project Description:In 2018, Itochu Corporation acquired a majority stake in Ricardo Pérez S.A., the exclusive distributor of Toyota and Lexus in Panama, marking a pivotal moment in the company’s history. To honor the senior executives with the longest tenure, who had been instrumental in the growth and success of the business over the years, we created original artworks by renowned artist Brian Vergara, integrating personalized messages for each executive.
The core challenge was to integrate the messages without industrializing the artwork or compromising the artist’s signature and artistic value. The solution was to engrave the messages using a controlled fire technique, a meticulous trial-and-error process that ensured the letters remained perfectly legible, while subtle burn marks along the inner edges evoked the traces of fire. These burn marks symbolize years of dedication, effort, and commitment to the company, while preserving the authenticity and elegance of the original artwork.
The result is a fully integrated, high-value artistic tribute, where art and message coexist seamlessly. The project highlights our expertise as artists, delivering a recognition that is both personal and symbolic, maintaining the integrity of the original work and the signature of the artist, and transforming the gift into a lasting expression of legacy and dedication.
